Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our dynamic team at MJ BYRNES IRISH PUB INC. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the culinary arts and possess a strong foundation in food preparation and presentation.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of College/CEGEP program
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year and less than 2 years in a similar role
- Conditions: Noisy and aromatic atmosphere typical of a bustling kitchen
- Setting: Fast-paced restaurant located in an urban area, including bar service
- Showcase innovative cooking techniques and equipment to fellow kitchen staff
- Guide cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of dishes
- Prepare and cook comprehensive meals and specialty dishes for events such as banquets
- Regularly prepare and cook meals or specialty foods for various occasions
- Manage food requisition and kitchen supply inventory
- Consult with clients regarding event catering, including weddings and banquets
- Design menus ensuring adherence to quality standards
- Prepare meals accommodating customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions
- Specialties: International cuisine
- Requirements: Own transportation preferred; public transportation options available
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
