We are seeking a dedicated Facility Maintenance Specialist to ensure the cleanliness and functionality of our establishment. This role is essential in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all.
Qualifications- Education: No formal education required
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role
The position is based in an urban setting, requiring adaptability to various tasks and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as scrubbing hallways and stairs.
- Utilize industrial vacuum cleaners to effectively remove debris and refuse.
- Manage waste disposal by emptying trash cans and other waste containers.
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
- Conduct minor repairs and adjustments to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, while coordinating with tradespersons for major repairs.
- Oversee and coordinate with contractors for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Handle minor appliance repairs as needed.
- Conduct safety and security inspections regularly.
- Supervise and guide other maintenance staff.
- Assist in moving heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Perform additional maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repairs.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of bathrooms and fixtures.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
- Must have own transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to handle heavy loads exceeding 45 kg (100 lbs).
- Capability to bend, crouch, and kneel as required.
