Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at the Interior Health Authority in Kamloops, BC.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work with children aged birth-to-school entry from diverse cultural backgrounds and their parents/caregivers. The Speech-Language Pathologist will engage in screening, assessment, intervention, coaching, and education in all areas of speech, language, and communication.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers and their caregivers. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to connect with people from all backgrounds.

Responsibilities
  • Screen, assess, and develop intervention plans for children with communication disorders
  • Collaborate with other professionals from the Ministry of Children & Family Development and local community organizations
  • Provide coaching and education to parents/caregivers on communication strategies and techniques
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance services
Requirements
  • Full practicing registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia
  • One year's recent experience in working with clients in Early Childhood Development settings
  • Valid BC Driver's license where required
