Your Role:

As a Mobile Equipment Mechanic, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by maintaining and repairing our fleet of electrically powered material handling equipment.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct thorough inspections, diagnoses, and service on electric lift truck systems, encompassing electrical components, steering, braking, hydraulics, frames, transmissions, drive axles, suspension, wheels, and lifting mechanisms.
  • Diagnose and service drive units and control systems in electric vehicles.
  • Implement safety protocols for lifting, rigging, blocking, and lockout devices. Adhere to all safety regulations within the work area.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, specialized equipment, precision instruments, and electronic service tools to execute repairs effectively.
  • Maintain meticulous records of preventive and predictive maintenance services.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding repair timelines and any encountered issues.
  • Prepare requisitions for spare parts and collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
  • Manage inventory levels of essential lubricants, paints, and shop supplies to meet operational demands.
  • Provide support to the maintenance technical repair team as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
What You Bring
  • Completion of a recognized Apprenticeship as a Power Lift Truck Technician (outside Alberta) or Manufacturer Certified Power Lift Truck Technician training with a minimum of two years of experience. Preference given to applicants with Johnston, Toyota, or Crown factory training.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Prior experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is advantageous.
  • Ability to work a day shift schedule from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.
