We are in search of a proficient IT Security Specialist to establish and configure a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system, preferably utilizing Elastic Stack. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring effective security monitoring and incident response capabilities within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. SIEM Deployment and Configuration:
    Implement and set up the SIEM system to gather, analyze, and archive security event data from various sources, including network devices, servers, and applications. Ensure seamless integration of the SIEM with existing IT infrastructure for comprehensive coverage.
  2. Rule Development and Management:
    Create and execute SIEM rules and use cases aimed at identifying security threats, anomalies, and compliance breaches. Regularly assess and refine rules to reduce false positives and enhance accurate threat detection.
  3. Monitoring and Incident Management:
    Establish dashboards and alerts for real-time monitoring of security events. Collaborate with the security team to investigate and address security incidents flagged by the SIEM.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:
    Maintain thorough documentation for SIEM configuration, rules, and incident response protocols. Generate reports to provide insights into security posture and compliance status.
Requirements
  1. Demonstrated experience in deploying and managing SIEM solutions (e.g., Elastic Stack, Splunk, IBM QRadar, Azure Sentinel)
  2. Comprehensive understanding of security event data, threat detection, and incident response
  3. Capability to create and optimize SIEM rules for effective security monitoring
  4. Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
