Responsibilities:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative engineering solutions for safety applications.
- Design and execute experiments to evaluate product performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate and conduct comprehensive testing procedures, including the development of detailed test plans.
- Work closely with sales to support client testing of prototypes and provide technical guidance during field trials.
- Conduct thorough research and development activities to advance our product portfolio.
- Develop rigorous test methods aligned with industry standards to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports documenting testing procedures, results, and observations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities for existing products while maintaining high performance standards.
- Mentor and train technicians, providing guidance on best practices and technical procedures.
- Utilize 3D CAD software to create detailed product designs and assemblies.
- Perform numerical simulations and analyses to optimize mechanical designs for efficiency and durability.
- Analyze test data to develop theoretical models and improve our understanding of product behavior.
- Generate essential engineering documentation, including specifications, reports, plans, calculations, and product launch materials.
- Lead assigned projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
- A strong passion for innovation, problem-solving, and creative design.
- A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a proven track record of success.
- Membership in the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD software.
- In-depth knowledge of metal manufacturing processes and current cutting tool technologies.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent project management and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to think critically and effectively.
- A collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of electronics techniques is an asset.
- Highly organized and methodical in your approach to work.
- Bilingual proficiency (French and English) in both written and spoken communication.
