The Opportunity: Emergency Nurse with Paid Education
We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department. This unique opportunity includes comprehensive paid training and certification in emergency nursing through an accredited educational institute.
Qualifications:
- Registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
- BScN or equivalent
- Minimum two years of acute care nursing experience
- Current BCLS Certification
- Knowledge of principles of cardiac care, emergency care, maternal childcare, geriatric care, medical-surgical, palliative care (dependent on work area)
- Strong conflict resolution skills when dealing with staff, supervisors, physicians, patients and family members
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and ensure accuracy
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to exercise good judgment in recognizing situations that may require immediate attention of appropriate person/people
- Ability to provide educational opportunities for clients and family, other health care providers and health care students.
- Knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety and Infection Control Practices, College of Nurses Standards of Practice, and Health Centre policy and procedures
- Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
