Job SummaryThe Freight Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating activities with other work units or departments, preparing and submitting reports, and ensuring the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure efficient workflow and meet deadlines.
- Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
- Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.
- Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Train workers in duties and policies, and arrange training for staff as needed.
- Conduct performance reviews and coordinate, assign, and review work to ensure high-quality results.
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Organize and maintain inventory, and establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
- Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization to ensure smooth operations.
The Freight Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, and working under pressure. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be accurate, and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Requirements- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The official language of this job is English.
