Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Operations Manager to join our team at Northern/NorthMart. As a Store Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading the store team to achieve sales and profitability targets, while ensuring excellent customer service and a positive store environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement store-specific action plans to achieve sales and profitability targets
- Lead and motivate the store team to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales and profitability targets
- Manage budgets, labor costs, inventory control, and product presentation and merchandising
- Develop and implement community relations plans to engage with local communities and promote the store
- Monitor and control cash, receivables, and store controls
- Ensure loss prevention and shrink are well controlled
- Develop expert knowledge of store operations and advance the store's competitive position within the trading area
Requirements:
- A minimum of two years of experience in a high-volume grocery/retail environment
- Record of bottom-line and sales results in previous roles
- Computer knowledge of Excel and Outlook
- Strong knowledge of grocery operating principles
- Proven organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills
- Highly motivated and adventurous with an appreciation for small-town life in a culturally diverse setting
