Software Development Manager, Precision Health Platform

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Manager to join our team at Verily, a subsidiary of Alphabet. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the development life cycle and ensuring seamless execution of our technical initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of 8-10 software engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Drive project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence within the team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define and execute on the team's strategic goals and objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and make critical decisions to meet project milestones and deliverables.
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on technical leadership and/or people management experience of a team of at least 15 software engineers.
- Proven experience managing software engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
- Strong expertise in software development methodologies and best practices.
- Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Education or exposure to healthcare or life sciences, with emphasis on HL7 FHIR.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as GCP or AWS.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams.
