About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to join our development team at Boston Scientific Gruppe. As a Software Engineer II - Electrophysiology Specialist, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and releasing innovative high-performance medical device software.

The Opal Mapping System is a real-time virtual world of the human heart, requiring high-performance rendering and algorithmic techniques to create a stunning view and provide instant feedback to physicians. Our tools include C++, OpenGL, GLSL, OpenCL, Qt, and Linux.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop high-performance medical device software using C++ and Linux.
  2. Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, systems engineering, QA, hardware, and regulatory, to understand requirements and bring the best solutions forward.
Requirements:
  1. 2-5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
  2. 0-3 years of relevant work experience with a Master's degree.
  3. Experience in Object-Oriented programming.
  4. A strong computer science background, preferably a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  5. Expertise in C++, Linux, and software development.
  6. Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Strong experience with designing and implementing medical device software.
  2. Strong experience with development of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, OpenSSL).
