CSN Hamilton is seeking a skilled Automotive Refinisher to join our team. As an Automotive Refinisher, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through painting and refinishing.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain work space to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Replace front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components to ensure vehicles are restored to their original condition.
- File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired to achieve a smooth finish.
- Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting to ensure a precise and even coat.
- Hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers to restore the vehicle's original shape.
- Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place to ensure a secure and durable repair.
- Apply primers and repaint surfaces to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Mix paint, blend, and match colors to ensure a precise and accurate match.
- Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams to achieve a smooth finish.
- Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment to restore the vehicle's original shape.
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the automotive refinishing industry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy equipment.
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
