Job Summary
Global Excel Management Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Medical Claims Assessment team. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the examination and administration of claims, ensuring timely and accurate processing, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Claims Team Members and provide guidance and support to ensure successful claim processing.
- Act as the first point of contact for Claims Examiners regarding procedural and workflow issues.
- Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback to Claims Managers on personnel activity.
- Ensure claims processing timeframes and deliveries are met, and handle disputes or complaints from clients/providers.
- Prepare and review monthly reports to track team performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Train new Claims Examiners on team functions and processes.
- Implement process and workflow changes to ensure quality of work metrics are met.
Requirements
- University degree or college diploma preferred, but not required.
- 2-3 years Claims Assessment experience.
- Full understanding of travel insurance, insurance terminology, and claims management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Empathy, understanding, and patience to customer needs, and ability to deal with sensitive and stressful situations.
