Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, maintaining high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness, and contributing to the overall success of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running efficiently and effectively.
    • Monitor and control costs, including labor, inventory, and supplies.
    • Ensure that all restaurant equipment and facilities are well-maintained and in good working order.
  • Human Resources
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of restaurant staff.
    • Manage employee relations, including performance management, discipline, and termination.
    • Ensure that all staff are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive excellent service, including prompt and friendly service, accurate orders, and a clean and welcoming environment.
    • Manage customer complaints and feedback, ensuring that all issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage the restaurant's finances, including cash handling, inventory control, and budgeting.
    • Monitor and control costs, including labor, inventory, and supplies.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a restaurant supervisory role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven leadership experience.
  • Expertise in all restaurant positions.
  • Complete knowledge of the operating system.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of operating standards.
  • High interest in developing others.
  • Ability to do accounting and manage administrative aspects of the operation.

Preferred Skills

  • Acceptable oral and written communication skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to lead meetings.

Physical Demands

  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Some heavy lifting.
