Experienced Avionics Technician

Bombardier is a global leader in aviation, focused on designing, manufacturing and servicing the world's most exceptional business jets and specialized mission platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft avionics, electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
  • Operate ground support equipment as required.
  • Assist with mechanical / electrical removals and installations.
  • Assist other maintenance disciplines, and maintenance at off-site locations.
Requirements:
  • Avionics electric A/C Technical School or another substantiated equivalent.
  • Typically, 0 – 2 years avionics work experience or substantiated equivalent experience.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings.
  • Basic PC skills and the ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and aircraft status.
  • Own Basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate Inventory & control of tools.
  • Must obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required.
  • Must be able to work unscheduled overtime including nonscheduled workdays and holidays and be able to work in seasonal and inclement weather outside.
  • Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) (if applicable).
  • A Certification if required by customer (Commercial Aircraft).
  • Airframe Certification, Powerplant Certification, or Airframe & Powerplant Certificate.
  • GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License) or AET (Aircraft Electronics Technician) Certificate.
  • Experience on corporate jet aircraft and commercial aircraft.
