We're looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our SMS team, which is responsible for building and scaling Braze's SMS channel. This team fully owns the SMS channel within the product, from composition and sending to message responses and analytics. It also owns several supporting services for Chat messaging, including our internal click tracking and link shortening service.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with our team to build out new features, improve performance, and provide guidance on key architectural decisions.
- Tackle significant engineering challenges, such as architecting new iterations of critical components for our systems and optimizing our systems for resilience as they scale.
- Collaborate with colleagues to help make us better engineers and be excited to learn from us.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
- Professional experience building distributed systems at scale.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms.
- A self-starter with great communication and organizational skills.
- Prior experience working in a team environment.
- Bonus:
- Professional experience with any of: Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, React, TypeScript.
- Experience with agile processes.
