Job Title: General Construction Labourer

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit General Construction Labourer to join our team at SOi. As a General Construction Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting in various construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, erecting scaffolding, and mixing and pouring concrete.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, and other construction equipment
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements:
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to handle heavy loads
  • Attention to detail
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Up to 45 kg (100 lbs) weight handling
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in construction or a related field
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Basic knowledge of construction safety procedures
