Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including trial balance, income statement, and balance sheet, to provide insights for business decision-making.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or errors.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
