Key ResponsibilitiesIn this pivotal role, you will oversee small, cross-functional software engineering teams dedicated to the development and maintenance of our extensive product offerings.
- Collaborate closely with a Product Manager and supervise other Engineering Managers to strategize, implement, and enhance the creation of state-of-the-art products.
- Foster a culture that prioritizes trust, open dialogue, creative problem-solving, and unified teamwork.
- Contribute to the software architecture of a highly concurrent, high-throughput system.
- Engage with other engineering teams through functional skill set 'Guilds' (Back-End, Front-End, Security, QA, Agile) to establish departmental standards.
- Assist in maintaining product roadmaps for the team's portfolio alongside the Product Manager.
- Manage multiple products and tasks utilizing a variety of technologies.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation is produced and maintained by the engineering team.
- Enhance professional and technical knowledge by staying informed about industry trends and participating in management-focused training sessions and workshops.
- Develop a deep understanding of the products within the engineering team's portfolio, serving as a resource for inquiries regarding all facets of those products.
We are looking for candidates with:
- Leadership and Management Skills: The ability to attract, retain, motivate, mentor, and develop team members to achieve their highest potential.
- Project Management Skills: Proficiency in planning and executing successful projects, including risk management, cost control, and timeline adherence.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
- 10-12 years of experience in Software Engineering, Quality Assurance, Cloud Infrastructure, or DevOps roles.
- Approximately 3-5 years of experience in a managerial capacity.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Java, .NET technologies, or a testing automation language is essential.
- Preferred expertise in React, Spring, or Selenium.
- Experience with Linux-based systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and Docker.
