Recreation Therapist II

About the Opportunity:
This position oversees and provides recreation therapy services to various facilities within Alberta Health Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based, client-centered practice based on therapeutic recreation standards of practice. This is a dynamic program with a high degree of independence, and the ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a track record of creativity and initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership to ensure safe and efficient care
- Coordinate the assessment, treatment, education, and care of patients
- Participate in program development to ensure effective delivery of services
- Complete assessments, treatments, and management of client treatment progress
- Provide clinical support and consultation to the healthcare team
Requirements:
- Completion of a bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or Recreation and Leisure Studies
- Active or eligible registration for Professional Membership with the Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA)
- Minimum three years' related clinical experience as a Recreation Therapist

- A Remote Retention Allowance of up to $3,000 per year
