We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Two Hills Health Centre. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will be responsible for performing procedures in both the laboratory and diagnostic imaging departments, working closely with patients and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect and analyze biological specimens, conduct X-ray examinations, and report results.
- Prepare patients for procedures, perform venipuncture and micropuncture, and maintain routine equipment.
- Ensure quality control procedures are followed and supplies are maintained.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
- Completion of a diploma in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT) from an accredited program.
- Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
- Recent cardiology experience, including ECG and Holter Monitor, and proficiency in computer skills.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Experience operating and troubleshooting diagnostic imaging equipment, including the Kodak 850 CR Reader and Phillips X-ray unit.
- Proficiency in laboratory equipment, such as the Vitros 250/350 or XT3400, and computer systems, including Epic LIS.
