Role and Responsibilities
The position involves:
Interpreting and analyzing work instructions, technical drawings, and schematic diagrams. Executing modifications, repairs, assembly, alignment, and installation tasks for non-mechanical components in the simulator's non-simulated section. Conducting assembly, adjustment, and installation activities for mechanical, electromechanical, and hydraulic components of the simulator. Carrying out initial manufacturing and assembly tasks necessary for the installation of visual systems, including preparatory work on mirrors, alignment and installation of mirror retention systems, and installation of various structural and optical components. Understanding and applying material properties relevant to the tasks. Utilizing measuring instruments and assembly tools, along with cutting and shaping machinery such as band saws, manual and hydraulic shears, and profiling benders. Installing fasteners and rivets according to specifications outlined in drawings and work procedures. Producing rolled and embossed components as required.The ideal candidate will possess:
A Professional Study Diploma in Aircraft Sheet Metal or Aircraft Structural Assembly, or an equivalent combination of qualifications. At least 6 months of relevant industry experience. Familiarity with spot welding techniques. Knowledge of precision standards and occupational health and safety regulations, particularly WHMIS. Proficiency in French is essential. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or nights.CAE offers:
