Position Overview:

The Warehouse Staff at PDI plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and inventory management processes. This position involves a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the efficiency of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage shipping documentation accurately.
  • Input shipping details into the Warehouse Management System effectively.
  • Fulfill and finalize orders for delivery or pickup in accordance with the established schedule, including loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of inbound and outbound freight pickups and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate inventory controls to ensure stock levels are monitored.
  • Regularly update spreadsheets and generate reports as required.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies in inventory or shipping.
  • Foster communication and collaboration with team members to enhance workflow.
  • Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Sort and organize materials on shelves or designated warehouse locations as needed.
  • Adhere to quality service standards and comply with all relevant procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment is maintained at all times.
  • Utilize all required safety equipment diligently.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in freight handling is essential.
  • A valid forklift license is mandatory.
  • Prior experience in customer service within warehousing, logistics, or transportation sectors is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Excellent numerical skills are necessary for inventory management.
  • Exceptional communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines is crucial.
  • Familiarity with online inventory management systems is advantageous.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service is expected.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to rail and yard equipment operation is beneficial.
  • Willingness to cross-train in various departments, including wash bay and packaging, is encouraged.
  • Capability to obtain certifications in Fall Arrest, First Aid/CPR, GHS, TGD, Emergency Response, etc. is required.
  • Ability to work at heights in accordance with company procedures is necessary.
  • Physical capability to lift weights ranging from 40 to 60 lbs is essential.
