Job SummaryWe're seeking an experienced Operations Lead to oversee and support NL Operations, including the emulsion plant, magazine sites, bulk truck operations, and more. This is a working Lead/Supervisory position that requires a hands-on approach to get involved on a daily basis with operations.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate bulk loading operations, including scheduling and logistics.
- Implement and own Dyno Nobel's safety programs and procedures.
- Support Dyno Nobel's maintenance program and objectives.
- Compile data and complete monthly reporting as directed.
- Communicate relevant information to frontline employees, including hazard assessments, toolbox meetings, and clear direction.
- Ensure equipment is in good operating condition and all regulations are adhered to.
- Ensure company policies, safe work practices, hazard analysis, and standard operating procedures are up-to-date and followed.
- Support inventory management for Class 1 magazines within the Region.
- Interact with customers as needed.
- Some travel will be required across NL (25% travel).
- Minimum educational requirements: Completion of high school (Grade 12).
- Post-secondary education related to Blasting, Mining, Mineral resources, process safety/engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing will be considered an asset.
- Experience in a supervisor/leadership role will be considered an asset.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, knowledge of SAP also an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the terminology related to the field in the form of verbal and written reports.
- Ability to travel as directed.
- A positive professional and courteous attitude is an asset when dealing with customers, employees, and management.
- Good physical condition is required with the ability to repeatedly handle 20-kilogram units.
- Clean driving record, use of respirator, pass Drug and Alcohol Test, pass Miners Medical, obtain security clearance (background check) for handling explosives.
