About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Charles Joseph Plastering LTD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates of labour and material costs for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects, including analysis of tender documents and site visits.
  • Economic Feasibility Studies: Conduct economic feasibility studies and provide preliminary estimates for proposed projects, taking into account factors such as budget, timeline, and resource allocation.
  • Reporting and Communication: Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms to stakeholders, and liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Cost Monitoring and Reporting: Set up and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems to track project expenses and ensure compliance with budget and timeline.
  • Supply and Contractor Management: Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors, and advise on tendering procedures to ensure the best possible outcomes for our projects.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
