Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Toronto, ON. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for participating in client needs and project definition, reviewing client specifications, and developing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs, drawings, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in client needs and project definition to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Review client specifications to identify design requirements and constraints.
  • Develop and implement mechanical designs for process, building, and utilities systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design solutions that meet client needs and company objectives.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians to ensure successful project execution.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement and innovation in design solutions.

Requirements

  • Current registration with PEO as P.Eng.
  • 8-10 years of experience in building HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage, Refrigeration, Steam, and hot water systems, as well as fire protection system design.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD & Revit is a must.
  • Experience in consulting engineering in the pharmaceutical and/or food and beverage industries is an asset.
  • Experienced in leading and managing design projects, proposals, on-site commissioning, and/or power system studies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and design criteria.
  • Proficiency in a variety of standard engineering methods and techniques.
  • Flexibility to travel to client sites.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment.
  • Experience with Revit MEP software.
  • Be a team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ready to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of local, Provincial, and National regulations and standards.
