In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our production equipment. Your expertise in electrical, mechanical, and control systems will be crucial in ensuring smooth operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic issues with manufacturing and building equipment.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and document findings.
  • Conduct routine inspections of low-voltage electrical panels.
  • Oversee the work of external contractors as needed.
  • Create technical drawings and schematics for equipment and systems when necessary.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of instruments and backup systems.
  • Report any equipment or building anomalies.
  • Analyze equipment failures and propose solutions to enhance reliability.
  • Train and mentor new electromechanical technicians.
  • Play a vital role during power outages or evacuations.
  • Document alarms on the Building Automation System (BAS).
  • Monitor both purified water systems daily.
  • Perform workshop tasks such as conventional machining, bending, TIG welding, polishing, and passivation treatments.
Support & Improvement:
  • Provide guidance and support to operators using the equipment.
  • Assist the validation team during installations and qualifications of systems.
  • Participate in Kaizen projects with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance planner on work related to equipment, backup systems, and buildings.
  • Work from plans and drawings.
  • Document changes required for preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere to Safety, Security, and Training (SST) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong autonomy and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with a keen eye for detail and analytical abilities.
  • Persistent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • DEP/DEC training in electromechanics or a related field.
  • Two to five years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is an asset.
  • A C license in electricity would be beneficial.
