The Role:
As the Head of Product Marketing at 10KC, you will combine your ability to uncover market insights with exceptional storytelling skills to effectively position our solutions in the competitive landscape.
Reporting directly to the VP of Product Management, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of our ideal customer profile, buying groups, competitors, and the unique value we offer, enabling us to attract, grow, and retain our most suitable customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Foster strong relationships with sales, customer experience, product, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive cross-functional alignment supporting our go-to-market initiatives.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market, customer, and competitor analysis to generate buyer insights and identify promising market opportunities.
- Positioning: Align internal teams on the challenges we address, the target audience, and the value we deliver to our ideal customers.
- Messaging and Storytelling: Craft a distinct market perspective and translate it into engaging content for our team to utilize throughout the buyer journey.
- Product Launches: Design and implement comprehensive launch plans to introduce new product innovations and empower our team to communicate them effectively.
- Customer Lifecycle Management: Collaborate with customer success and marketing teams to guide customers through significant milestones in their journey with us.
- Team Enablement: Support our sales and customer success enablement strategies by creating materials such as competitive battlecards, solution briefs, and pitch decks.
Leadership and Mentorship:
Encourage a collaborative and high-performing environment, sharing knowledge and experiences to assist others in achieving their career aspirations.
Measuring Impact:
Establish success metrics for product marketing and communicate progress to other teams and leaders within the organization.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in B2B SaaS, with at least 5-7 years in a Product Marketing capacity.
- Experience in a small marketing team, functioning as the sole Product Marketer.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated success as a Product Marketing Manager with examples of go-to-market strategies and product marketing initiatives from previous roles.
- A collaborative team player with a talent for building cross-functional relationships and alignment.
- Strong storytelling abilities reflected in clear, compelling written and verbal communications.
- Expert listening and research skills to distill complex insights into actionable strategies.
- A customer-centric approach that champions the voice of our customers across the organization.
- Highly autonomous and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Exceptional prioritization skills to maintain focus on high-impact initiatives.
- Familiarity with or knowledge of the HR tech landscape.
Compensation:
The base salary for this position ranges from CA$165,000 to CA$223,000. We are committed to offering competitive salaries to attract and retain top talent.
