Job Summary

The Product Manager is responsible for the identification, development, evaluation, and maintenance of new product strategies that enhance the service experience of HOOPP's current members and employers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and fulfillment of product strategies by creating a vision, go-to-market, and execution road map.
  • Leverage digital technologies to enhance internal administration through process automation.
  • Identify new product opportunities and provide input to strategies that span the end-to-end client experience.
  • Translate product strategies into product initiatives and manage multidisciplinary teams in delivering enhancements.
  • Manage the development and implementation of new products and/or enhancements.
  • Identify and own business requirements from stakeholders for specific product features and services.
  • Manage product and service positioning, ensuring consistency across offerings.
  • Monitor the marketplace for opportunities, improvements, and regulatory developments.
  • Build cohesive presentation material for senior management and make necessary presentations.
  • Create and maintain a leadership presence by influencing and championing successful change.
  • Develop cross-functional business partnerships to facilitate initiatives.
  • Be creative and diligent in sourcing new ideas and addressing challenges.
Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent training, education, and experience.
  • 5 - 8 years of progressive experience in product development or relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in the pension business, ideally within product development.
  • Minimum of 3 years developing comprehensive business cases and product roadmaps.
  • Proven track record of launching products for external customers.
  • Ability to deliver compelling arguments and presentations.
  • Possess a risk and controls mindset in product feature development.
  • Skilled at developing strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  • Minimum of 3 years leading multi-disciplinary teams on projects.
  • Proven ability to use critical thinking.
  • Excellent time-management skills in project management.
  • Proven communication and negotiation skills.
  • Adaptable to change and resilient under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of retirement products and the marketplace.
