About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health and Wellness Attendant to join our team at Verve Senior Living. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the delivery of care to residents, following individualized care plans and established standards of care.
- Provide cognitive, social, and emotional support to residents, promoting comfort and safety.
- Perform nursing care procedures, adhering to infection control protocols and routine practices.
- Comply with occupational health and safety regulations, reporting incidents and participating in in-services and fire drills.
- Assist in delivering Life Enrichment programs and activities, promoting resident engagement and enjoyment.
- Complete nursing documentation accurately and legibly, maintaining health records in compliance with legislations.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating the outcome of specific interventions, offering suggestions for improvement.
Requirements
- Has obtained a certificate from an approved Health Care Aide or Personal Support Worker program.
- Completed a minimum of grade 12.
- Preference given to individuals with experience in long-term care or retirement residence.
- Written and verbal fluency in English is required.
