Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Surgery Technician to join our team at VCA California Veterinary Specialists in Ontario. As a key member of our Surgery Department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and assisting our Boarded Surgeons in a fast-paced 24-hour Emergency and Specialty Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Anesthesiology monitoring, including blood pressure, CO2, SpO2, invasive blood pressure monitoring, ventilator setup and management
  • Calculating and administering multiple CRIs
  • Performing hands-free radiographs
  • Surgical preparation for soft tissue and orthopedic procedures
  • Drawing blood, placing IV catheters, sedation, intubation
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent; college degree desirable
  • Certification as a registered veterinary technician (RVT) required
  • Experience in a specialty surgery department or critical care environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
