Job Title: Medical Radiation Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Radiation Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a Medical Radiation Technologist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining imaging equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the procedure, positioning the patient, and ensuring patient safety
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including communicating effectively with patients and families
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Previous experience in Diagnostic Imaging is an asset
  • Comprehension of technical language to review and use manuals and participate in relevant discussions
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
