About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Renovation Helper to join our team at Joyride Tire & Renovation Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and Dismantle Forms and Scaffolding: Assist in the erection and dismantling of concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Train Apprentices: Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices in various construction tasks.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Assist in mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Assist in Framing and Building: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Clean and Pile Salvaged Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse or recycling.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work on construction equipment and tools.
  • Clean Up Chemical Spills: Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants at construction sites.
  • Remove Rubble and Debris: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Tend to Equipment: Tend to or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
Work Environment
  • Work Site Environment: Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Work Setting: Work in urban and rural areas.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Work Conditions: Work under pressure, in physically demanding conditions, and with repetitive tasks.
  • Physical Capabilities: Handle heavy loads, work with manual dexterity, and have good hand-eye coordination.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Overtime: Be available to work overtime as required.
