Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Renovation Helper to join our team at Joyride Tire & Renovation Ltd. As a key member of our renovation crew, you will be responsible for assisting in various aspects of construction, including loading and unloading materials, erecting scaffolding, and instructing apprentices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Instruct apprentices in various construction tasks
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
Work Environment

As a Renovation Helper, you will work outdoors in various weather conditions, including hot and dusty environments. You will also work in urban and rural areas, and may be required to travel to different job sites.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Will train on the job
  • Ability to work under pressure and in physically demanding environments
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail required
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in noisy environments
  • Overtime required
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to lift heavy loads and work in various weather conditions.

Language and Hours

This is a permanent position that requires the ability to communicate effectively in English. You will work 40 hours per week and may be required to work overtime.
