Island Health is seeking a family practice physician to join our team on Salt Spring Island. As a family physician, you will have the opportunity to work in a diverse and challenging environment, providing primary care to a population that tends to skew older than provincial and regional averages.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary care services to patients in a clinic setting
- Participate in acute care services for the Lady Minto Hospital, including ER coverage
- Provide care to patients in residential care facilities
- Share ER call with other physicians
As a family physician with Island Health, you may be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including:
- Recruitment Incentive: up to a maximum of $10,000 (pro-rated based on FTE)
- Relocation: up to a maximum of $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)
- Flat fee: $9,000
- Fee Premium: 7.98%
- CME: $2,000/annum year 3-4 and $4,000/annum after 4 years in the community
20% of Billings
