Position Overview

Whitemud Ironworks Limited is seeking a dedicated and skilled Structural Steel Fitter to join our team. This role involves working with various materials and components to create robust structures.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in diverse locations, contributing to various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish reference points and patterns for construction
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to create structural frameworks
  • Operate heavy-duty metal-working machinery
  • Develop patterns and templates for fabrication
  • Install components into the final assembly
  • Handle materials, including rigging and hoisting
Special Skills

Candidates should possess specialized knowledge and skills in environmental considerations related to structural metal or steel.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Strong hand-eye coordination
  • Meticulous attention to detail
Tools and Equipment
