Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Fabricator to join our team at Whitemud Ironworks Limited. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting steel components to form structures, working with heavy-duty metal-working machines, and ensuring high-quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay out reference points and patterns for steel components
  • Assemble and fit steel plates and sections to form structures
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines
  • Construct patterns and templates for steel fabrication
  • Install fabricated steel components in final products
  • Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in steel fabrication or a related field
  • Specialized environmental skills and knowledge
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

Work Environment

Our team works in various locations, and you will be required to work in a physically demanding environment. You will be expected to wear steel-toed safety boots and a welding helmet.
