Senior Embedded Software Developer

Fortinet is seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Software Developer to join their team. This individual will be responsible for developing, designing, and testing software for the FortiManager, a centralized device management product that configures the FortiGate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C programming and experience with TCP/IP, Firewall, and UTM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design software for the FortiManager
  • Hands-on bug fixing and maintenance of code
  • Implement new features according to identified specs
  • Maintenance, performance tuning, and support of implemented software or firmware products

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 6 years' C/C++ work experience
  • Experience with TCP/IP, Firewall, UTM
  • Experience in synchronous and asynchronous encryption (cryptology) and signature algorithms
  • Knowledge of embedded security features and best practices
  • Software development experience in Unix/Linux environment

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Masters or PhD is an asset) in Computer Science or similar degree
