Job Summary:

Sault Area Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and dispense medications to patients, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Monitor patient drug therapies and provide education to patients and healthcare teams.
  • Oversee drug distribution and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Apply knowledge of medications and their interactions to ensure safe and effective use.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide patient medication information and education.
  • Manage inventory and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Doctoral degree in Pharmacy with formal clinical training.
  • Current registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
