About the Role

Cascades is seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team in Candiac. As an Industrial Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing corrective maintenance on our equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform non-interruptible and planned maintenance on our equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production levels.
  • Demonstrate, repair, and rebuild various equipment and machinery.
  • Manufacture required parts and components.
  • Participate in planned equipment shutdowns and perform other tasks related to the role.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Perform welding tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Hold a DEP in Industrial Mechanics or a DEC in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Mechanics.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial setting.
  • Have experience in machining (an asset).
  • Be able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Be focused on workplace health and safety.
  • Fluency in French.
