Position Overview:

The Procurement Coordinator will play a crucial role within the Richards team, managing purchase orders, vendor returns, and work orders. This position entails reporting, policy enforcement, and updating relevant fields in the company's ERP system. The individual will collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure that all transactions are executed accurately and promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely updates to the Sales Department regarding any alterations in pricing, minimum order quantities, or lead times for inventory items, adjusting stock levels accordingly.
  • Engage in ongoing discussions with the Sales Department to align purchasing needs with the timely arrival of goods to fulfill customer requests.
  • Develop and revise Costing Packages to reflect any changes in pricing, logistics, or other costs associated with purchase requests.
  • Establish and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet branch requirements without generating excess stock.
  • Communicate with suppliers to acquire pricing information for existing or new products as necessary.
  • Foster and sustain effective working relationships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Experience in processing purchase orders and managing vendor relationships is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Great Plains, and/or Dynamics 365 Business Central is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams at various organizational levels.
  • Understanding of handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in a Buyer role (less than 5 years).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is essential.
