About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Sprinkler System Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining sprinkler-based systems, ensuring they are functioning properly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and repair sprinkler-based systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide verbal and written instructions to apprentices and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
  • Carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs and perform physical labor as needed.
  • Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

  • 4th Year Apprentice or Journeyperson status in sprinkler system technology.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively.
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Backflow certification.
  • Fire Pump training.
  • Inspection Test and Maintenance course.
