Your role and contributions
- Lead a team of Integration specialists tasked with the design of Bombardier's product offerings.
- Collaborate effectively with both internal and external suppliers across platforms.
- Work closely with platform leaders to align on priorities and strategic decisions.
- Oversee the Engineering Statement of Work.
- Manage the engineering budget and expenditures for the department.
- Conduct employee performance evaluations and recommend salary adjustments.
- Engage in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
- Participate in management meetings and facilitate departmental governance.
- Communicate effectively to support management decisions and relay messages.
- Ensure the management system is established to organize and control tasks and priorities, providing visibility to issues, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Support team members in achieving their goals and deliverables through coaching, mentoring, and training in both technical and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible for implementing Lessons Learned and Best Practices from projects.
- Provide support and coordination for Production and In-Service issue resolution.
- Develop and assess your team members.
Qualifications for success
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required; an Aerospace specialty is advantageous.
- A minimum of 20 years of experience in managing multidisciplinary and technically complex projects within the Aerospace sector, including at least three years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proficiency in design tools and knowledge of MRB.
- Experience in multi-disciplinary design processes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing methodologies.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to foster teamwork and facilitate discussions to resolve issues and meet business objectives.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities that prioritize people, teamwork, and performance excellence.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and innovative mindset focused on business improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing and building consensus without formal authority.
- Fluency in both English and French is essential.
