Your Contributions to the Team
As a Manager, Structures Design Engineering, you will lead a team of Integration specialists responsible for the design of Bombardier's product portfolio.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external platform suppliers.
- Work closely with each platform leader to align on priorities and decisions.
- Manage the Engineering Statement of Work and engineering budget for the department.
- Conduct employee performance reviews and make salary review recommendations.
- Participate in the recruitment and integration of new employees.
- Contribute to management meetings and organize departmental governance.
- Communicate effectively with management, supporting decisions and messages.
- Ensure a robust management system is in place to organize and control tasks and priorities, providing appropriate visibility into issues and risks, along with associated mitigation plans.
- Support employees by providing coaching, mentoring, and training for both technical and soft skills.
- Be responsible for the deployment of Lessons Learned and Best Project Practices.
- Provide some level of support/coordination for Production and In-Service resolution of issues.
Thrive in This Role
To excel in this position, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline. An Aerospace specialty is an asset.
- A minimum of 20 years of experience working with multidisciplinary and technically complex projects in the Aerospace industry, including at least three (3) years of supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles and design practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
