Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Professional to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Professional in a healthcare setting, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and respond to inquiries from the public in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Security Monitoring: Monitor entrances and ensure all visitors are following Public Health guidelines to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Patrol and Response: Patrol client properties by foot to prevent unauthorized entry and politely direct disruptive individuals to leave the premises, responding to and reporting irregularities, security breaches, hazards, and emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
  • Communication: Utilize radios, handheld devices, and computer applications to communicate site activity and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Reporting: Write clear and comprehensive reports, including daily activity reports and incident reports, to ensure accurate documentation and communication of security-related events.

Requirements:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including report writing, to effectively interact with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, professional demeanor, and deportment to maintain a positive and respectful environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to solve problems, make decisions, and respond to emergencies under pressure, exercising discretion when handling confidential and private information.
  • Physical Demands: Physical ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time, meeting the physical demands of the role.
  • Certifications: Ability to pass a security clearance and obtain a security license, with a valid security license considered an asset.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent and of legal age, meeting the minimum educational requirements for the role.
