Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Physician to join our Vascular Surgery team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our vision of delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in patient rounds and assessments, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Perform and document admission history and physical examinations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and medication reconciliation, adhering to CPSBC and organizational standards.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in response to changing patient conditions, in consultation with attending staff.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Perform procedures within the scope of your demonstrated competence, including insertion of peripheral IV lines, initiation of IV medication, and wound care.
Requirements
  • Medical degree from a school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
  • Minimum of two years of accredited postgraduate training as a medical or surgical specialist, verified by the CPSBC.
  • Successful completion of Part 1 of the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) or Steps 1 through 3 of the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLEs).
  • Meet the CPSBC's English language proficiency requirements.
  • Eligible for registration with the CPSBC in the Associate Physician class, under sponsorship by Fraser Health Authority.
