Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across long distances, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring professionalism and a positive experience for clients.
  • Permits and Documents: Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Inspections and Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in good working order.
  • Record Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Transportation/Travel Experience: Long-haul experience.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, handling heavy loads, sitting.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgment, organized, reliability.
Work Environment

Our company, Joven Trucking Ltd, offers a permanent position with 50 hours of work per week.
