Position Overview

Total Systems Solutions Consulting Inc. is in search of a Senior ServiceNow Functional Consultant/Configuration Specialist – CSDM & CMDB to support our public sector client. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, requiring full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, with availability during standard business hours.

Project Background

The Service Management Transformation Program (SMTP) is a comprehensive initiative aimed at enhancing IT service management operations. This program includes the deployment of a cloud-based IT service management tool powered by ServiceNow, which has been utilized across various ministries since its launch.

Program Goals

The primary objective of SMTP is to revolutionize IT service operations, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while bolstering the effectiveness of government initiatives. The program encompasses both project and operational tasks, with a collaborative team comprising ministry personnel and external service delivery partners.

ServiceNow Implementation

Our client is currently implementing multiple ServiceNow modules, including:

  • Incident Management
  • Problem Management
  • Change Management
  • Knowledge Management
  • Order Management
  • Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM/CMDB)
  • Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
  • Software Asset Management (SAM)
  • Field Services Management (FSM)
  • Continuous Improvement Management (CIM)
  • Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.

Experience & Skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in service management, particularly with the ServiceNow platform.
  • In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
  • Thorough understanding of the ServiceNow CMDB.
  • Strong data management and analysis capabilities, especially concerning the CMDB data model.
  • Experience in developing CMDB health dashboards and executing remediation tasks.
  • Exceptional client-facing skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and other IT service management frameworks.
  • Experience in data modeling and database management.

Certifications

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist.

Job Type: Full-time, Fixed-term contract

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate
