Job Summary

We are seeking a Crafting Specialist to join our team at A B Scale Model (2013) Limited. As a Crafting Specialist, you will be responsible for creating intricate carvings from wood, stone, and other materials, as well as designing and creating floral arrangements and other decorative items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carving and Crafting: Gather necessary working materials to demonstrate crafting techniques, produce carvings from wood, stone, and other materials, and design bouquets and select natural and artificial flowers and decorative accessories to create arrangements or other floral items.
  • Business Operations: Organise day-to-day business operations, including managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Training and Development: Instruct groups and individuals in arts and crafts, including model making and other related skills.
  • Materials Management: Lay out, shape, and assemble patterns of metal, wood, plastic, and other materials from blueprints, models, or templates, and manage the inventory of materials and supplies.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as fine arts or crafts.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, such as model making or crafting.
  • Skills: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colors, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit for long periods, combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and repetitive tasks.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be working in a private studio environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The candidate will be required to use their own tools and equipment, and will be expected to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
