Job Title: Welder

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at JW Auto Repairs. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal, and operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate previously set-up welding machines.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding.
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Physical accessibility accommodations provided.
  • Participation in government or community programs supporting newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
Work Environment:

40 hours per week, permanent position, working with a team at JW Auto Repairs.
